It is now some four years since the last post. The previous trip has become a "feasibility" exploration as I have changed Universities and supervisors. The project is basically the same but I had to transfer it due to logistic and supervision difficulties.
I am currently;
1. setting up "reader" access to the research archives at the London NHM and at the Paris NHM. Again I will try for side-trips to archives at Cambridge University Library and to the Le Havre NHM.
2. setting up accomodation at Imperial College Halls of Residence, London, and at the Cite Internationale de Universitaire in Paris
3. orgainisng airfares, currency, passport/visa etc.
